The Olde Crabs Hockey Club was founded in 1991. It's members are dedicated to ice hockey and the camaraderie and lifelong friendships our association with the sport has generated. During the past decade The Crabs have pursued a strategy to accelerate interest in senior ice hockey among players of both sexes. Our special focus is to set an example and standard for players both young and old, to be involved in the sport in a safe and sportsmanlike manner so that those we touch become lifelong participants in this wonderful activity while enjoying a healthy athletic life.

Our initiative has two main components: an annual invitational tournament open to men and women’s hockey teams and a competitive Olde Crabs Winter schedule played at the Danbury Ice Arena between October and April. The tournament brackets include a women’s open division for players 35 years and older and three men’s divisions of 50’s 60’s and 70 year old players. Our winter schedule features competition with varying age brackets from 40’s to 60’s.

The Club became a Charitable Organization under IRS section 501c3 in 2007 in order to further its mission of fostering senior ice hockey in Central Connecticut and Westchester County New York while supporting local charities.

We look forward to seeing you at the Olde Crabs 2008 Invitational Senior Hockey Tournament  October 26-27-28,  2007.
